CEMF CELL FOR 24 OR 48 VOLT POWER SYSTEMS

Telecom Production Area

The CEMF Cell (Counter Electromotive Force) is a rack mounted unit that is used to protect sensitive DC electronic equipment that was not originally designed to operate at the relatively high float or equalization voltage required by VRLA batteries.  The typical voltage in a 24 cell battery system may vary from -56 Volts during an equalization period to -54.5 Volts during normal float operation.  Some electronic equipment is designed to operate on 48 Volts ± 10% and cannot operate properly over the wide range of DC voltage that is normal for a DC system with battery backup.   100 Amp and 200 Amp CEMF Cells
Special Benefits

  • DC electronic equipment protection
  • Output voltage reduction
  • Front Panel Indicators
  • Space saving design
