Magnetek NEC2400 Power Systems are designed to supply power to equipment that must operate within a narrow voltage range of 50.5 Volts to 42 Volts. While this narrow range power system was designed for the NEC 2400 it is also used for any equipment with a narrow range of input voltage. Some equipment that requires this type power system are older Northern Telecom PBX models, DC powered Avaya voice mail systems, Ericsson PBX models and Hitachi PBX systems.
PRS Systems - Power Systems that do not require more than three strings of batteries will combine the batteries and the power equipment on a single rack . These systems are designed to support batteries for backup. The voltage supplied to the batteries is 54.5 Volts. The Voltage supplied to the NEC 2400 systems is 50.5 Volts and is designed with a CEMF cell to drop the maximum output voltage to 50.5 Volts.
PRS system matrices are separated by battery backup time ---- 1 Hour, 2 Hours, 4 Hours, or 8 Hours. These pre-configured power systems are sized from 9 Amps to 400 Amps. For larger systems please contact Technical Sales Engineers at 1-800-443-4742. The batteries currently being used in these power systems are from C&D, and Power Battery. Additional vendors, with equivalent or superior product may be added to this list.
