Product Definition
The DC Micro Boss and DC Boss cabinet frame are constructed of welded steel and are designed to meet Seismic Zone 4 requirements when floor anchors are used. These cabinetized battery systems include cabinet, batteries, fuses, internal cabling and hardware to construct the system. The battery systems described below currently use C&D, and Power Battery batteries. Additional vendors, with equivalent or superior product may be added to this list.
Product Selection
- Check the switch configuration. When it is complete, determine the Amps of 48 Volts that configuration will require.
- Select the batteries to supply the Amps you need for the time required using
the selection chart below.
Available Options
- Low Voltage Disconnect - to protect batteries.
- Meters, Volt and Ammeter - to measure battery status.
- Output Bus Bars - instead of power blocks.
- Output Breakers - to match customer's individual equipment load requirements.
- System Breakers - to disconnect the battery from the load.
- J Boxes - to parallel cabinets for more amps or time.
- Casters - two fixed and two swivel with locks.
- Floor loading rails - to spread the weight and reduce floor loading.
Notes
- DC Mini Boss cabinets are NEMA type 1 enclosures.
